context:
Right about this time last year I blindly dove into the world of fitness and weight loss journeys. I made the mistake of solely focusing on cardio and calorie deficits for months and months on end and have seen nearly no difference. I avoided anything that involved heavy lifting in fear that it would stunt my growth (plus I don't have access to a gym) but honestly the likelihood of me getting any taller is extremely low and at this point I'd actually like to lose some weight. I'd definitely say I'm skinny fat; I'm not super chubby but if you looked at me first glance there would be no trace of fitness in my body.
question(s):
So, after a few days of research, I've finally realized my errors and want to commit myself to strength/weight training but I'm still pretty confused.
- What would a daily regime look like?
- Do I have to alternate "target" days or can I just stick to one full body workout throughout the month?
- I've found videos for strength training (such as these 20min Full Body Workout with Dumbbells, 30min Strength Training), has anyone have sustainable results with them? Are there any other good at home weight training videos you'd like to reccommend?
- I understand that fitness can sometimes vary for people of different heights. To anyone similar to my size who's had a problem with skinny fat, how did you overcome it?
Other advice, tips, or experiences are very much welcome! Thank you :P
