I (29M) was 6'5 and 250 lbs (196 cm 113 kg). Obviously massively overweight (maybe not by BMI but certainly by my own personal standards) so I decided to start going on a calorie deficit to atleast get below 200 and emphasized doing cardio constantly. In my opinion this is the essence of physical health, assuming there are no conditions or disorders that cause weight gain:eat less and do cardio. Just cut the absolute amount you eat in a day down significantly and go do some cycling or running during the day,and you will eventually become thin 99% of the time if you just stay consistent and maintain the diet and cardio plan.
Anyways, back to the main focus of the post:while I don't wanna come off as arrogant or like I'm bragging about it,I felt like sharing my progress in slimming down which has improved by cardiovascular and mental health overall. I have gotten down from 6'5 250 to 180 lbs, albeit my weight now fluctuates somewhere in the 170-180 range most of the time, but either way I'm happy that I've managed to improve and have acquired the discipline necessary to hopefully maintain this body weight long-term. (Until my 40s,that is. When I hit 40 idgaf I'll let myself go because that's what's biologically meant to happen,in your 20s and 30s be skinny when you're 40 and above metabolism slows down and you end up with a beer gut but lol there's no point in obsessing at that time).
Hope this manages to encourage someone else in their journey as well, have a good day and god bless ❤️
