The typical saying is that your brain will send signals of fullness after around 20 minutes, so you should slow down your eating. I have tried this countless times, and my realization is I feel full and satiated at least 1-2 hours after my last bite. This means that I always have to pre-portion my food to something reasonable, as if I go by hunger cues, I will easily eat triple the portion.
I don't really have a problem with doing this, but I'm wondering why this is the case for me? Does anyone else experience something similar?
