Hi all, long time lurker here, first time posting. 5'5 228lb female.
I've been losing weight for a couple of months now and have lost 16 pounds so far and have been feeling good about my new lifestyle. I calculated my TDEE and the website said my maintenance calories with light exercise (I typically do some kind of work out 5-6 days a week, either a run, strength training or a fitness class) is 2434 a day, so I took 500 cals off and have been aiming for around 1900. I know poor tracking can really f up your numbers so I've been really careful to track everything carefully, using a food scale and tracking things like oil as well.
I weighed myself this morning after about 10 days and the number hasn't moved at all! Feeling a bit dejected tbh because I thought I was doing everything right. I lost 4 stone over lockdown using the same method so I thought I had it cracked. The only thing I can think is that I've been logging calories burnt for exercise but then have been trying not to eat those calories (e.g. I'll stick to 1900 even if I burnt an extra 400 calories through exercise). Could this be to do with not eating enough and my body holding on to fat or something?
If anyone can shed some light or give me some advice it would be much appreciated.
