I'm a 5'11" 30F appx 220 lbs. I don't weigh myself but I take my measurements.
I have been seeing a steady downward trend in my measurements for the last few weeks, but today I measured and I had gained an inch in a few places and lost an inch in others. I wasn't sure how that was possible, then I measured again tonight at around 11pm to recheck and I had gained 5 inches around my waist and 7 around my chest, one around my hip.
I haven't made any changes to my diet, I'm exercising the same if not a little more. The only thing I can think of is I started a new medication yesterday (abilify) and it gave me insomnia last night. Last time I took abilify was in 2020 and that's what got me in this mess, I gained 80 lbs in a couple of months thought I was absolutely eating way more than I should have. This time I have been sticking to 1600 calories for a few months, eating the same things, taking diligent records of my calorie intake ( I have a food scale) and as far as I can tell not eating anything out of the norm. I'm freaking out, how could I have gained this much weight so suddenly? I lost all of my progress! Am I just retaining water? if so can you retain water all throughout your body and not just your waist?
