I started doing cardio for approximately half an hour, 5 days a week, and recently started lifting. I've been eating at maintenance for my activity level, height and weight.
In the last 4 weeks, I've lost 8lbs, and due to diet making up a lot of weight loss, and I'm not in a deficit, I'm a bit confused.
Granted, I need to lose weight, and I was planning to restrict calories for a while once I got into the habit of exercising regularly. I'm just surprised. I'm not an expert in exercise or diet by any means, and I would appreciate if anyone could explain to me how this works.
I've been using a FitBit and tracking activity levels on My Fitness Pal as well. Am I doing something wrong, or is what I'm doing right? Thanks for the feedback!
