Recover from crash diet?

I've been basically only been around 800-1100 calories per day for the last 2 months or so, when my calorie maintenance should be around 2000.

Yes, i lost weight. But now wanting to up my calorie intake for my metabolism's sake. Atleast up to 1600-1800. What approach should I do? You guys recommend reverse dieting (e.g easing it up by 100 per week) or should i just go straight up to 1600?

And what other things do you recommend to fix my metabolism? Tbh i dont even know if its broken lmao. There's too many conflicting articles on metabolism online. I'm just scared to lose all the progress I've had so far.

I'd appreciate any advice
