Chocolate addiction is stopping me (22F) from losing weight

SW/CW: around 69kg (153lbs)

GW: anywhere between 56-58kg (123 - 127lbs)

Height: 5’2

All my life I have had issues with my weight. I have been on and off dieting since I was around 13-14. The cycle usually goes, I lose the weight, I feel great, and then I miss eating some sort of junk food and gain all the weight back and so forth.

My cousin is getting married end of February 2024 and I want to reach my goal weight by then. Possibly a bit earlier depending when i go dress shopping. I am currently doing Pilates around 3 times a week with one or 2 days walking on the treadmill at 12 incline and 3.0 speed for 20 minutes.

I am also trying super hard to eat healthy. However I always end up having this insatiable craving for chocolate. And it usually spirals out of control and turns into a binge sesh. My stomach hurts and I tell myself I’ll never do this again. But of course it happens over and over again. And that’s how I get myself trapped in the cycle.

I’ve tried magnesium tablets, i eat too much chocolate regardless if I’m stressed or happy. Am I possibly not eating enough protein (i eat frozen low calorie meals and salads usually if it’s not takeaway or family cooking).

I was wondering if anyone had experienced this and what they did to combat the cravings. Do you go cold turkey? Only allow to eat chocolate once a week. Or do you go off a meal plan that avoids these cravings in some way.

Really want some advice as when I gain weight i feel so self conscious and I know I am young and want to be able to enjoy it without worrying about my body all the time. I also love shopping but my weight lately has made me dread it as I feel nothing looks good on me.

Any advice would be appreciated!
