SV. Halfway there update.

My starting weight was 290 pounds. My endgoal is 200. At the moment Im a little under 240.

I havent been counting calories. I have decided to eat less of whatever it is I eat and completely avoid certain types, like sugar or deepfried stuff. Loose skin has kind of been my fear when I started so I decided to focus more on working out building muscle instead of losing weight by vutting a lot of calories. I've mostly been working out to get this far. The diet hasnt been super strict.

Every other day I do a full proper workout, stuff like squats, double crunches, planks, jumping jacks, burpees ( dont really know what the word is for this kind of exercises. ) etc. + 30 minute cardio.

In the days between them I do stuff like pushups, bicep curls, basically free weight exercises + 45 minute cardio.

In the beginning it wasnt like this. I have slowly built this up. Exercising was the worst thing ever to me when I had just started, so in the beginning it was mostly a calorie deficit that brought my weight down. In the past 3-4 months Ive started eating more again and began with working out more to also build muscle.

I started 8 months ago and I plan to be done and switch to maintaining in 4 more months.

Maybe I can share one tip for anyone struggling to keep their motivation and keep quittinf and dtarting over again. I started because of necessity, not motivation. It got too bad and I HAD to lose weight, even when it felt like it was against my will. But now that I see progress, and people in my life are all asking that one question🤤 (Have you lost weight?) I'm motivated like crazy! I literally feel like there's no stopping me until I reach my goal.

So for the people struggling to keep their motivation that makes them start, it will return! It will return in the form of feeling better, it will return in the form of running faster and faster on the treadmill, it willr eturn in the form of reducing clothe sizes, it will return in the form of people noticing you've lost weight. You only need to hold on.
