Feeling connected to the person I was the last time I was at this low of a weight

Prior to this latest attempt at weight loss, I bounced between 180 and 210 for close to a decade. But now I am reaching weights I haven't seen since I was 15. And because of this, I have noticed a strong sense of nostalgia for when I was that age and find it easier to connect with who I was then, like remembering details that I had forgotten. Sometimes it feels like I am regressing. Not in a bad way, but just like a strong desire to pick up where I left off then.

My delusional self thinks it has something to do with like emotions trapped in adipose tissue or something that are being released as I lose weight. It could also be that the way my body moves and feels is reminiscent of how it moved and felt back then. Perhaps, this muscle memory is connected to other memories and associations formed during that time. I studied neuroscience in college and its 2am, so I am aware this probably sounds kooky. Anyway, just wanted to ramble and see if it resonated with anyone.
