How did weight loss affect your confidence?

I have to lose about 100lbs (CW : 230lbs) and have started making small changes in my daily routine like walking 10k steps everyday, going for a bike ride and portion control. Soon, I'll be starting gym. I've been overweight through my teenage years (21F here) which has sort of affected me at school, now in college as well as work. I'm not an introvert, and I'm also not saying that I never take part in activities, but I have these constant thoughts running in the back of my head like, "Can they see my back rolls? Is my posture bad?" Or whether my double chin is very prominent. These things never hindered my progress academically or even at work. In fact, I am more outspoken and verbal than my co-workers. But I am constantly worried about how everyone else sees me and it's the reason why I barely post pictures of myself on social media. I don't buy certain clothes because I don't want to be looked at in a weird way, even though I am dying to wear them. I just hope that this eventually goes away as I start nearing my goal weight.

My question is, did losing all the weight make you care less about what people think?
