[M22] Have a bad knee(s); help?

Hey! I'm Male, 22, turn 23 on teusday, 5'11 and just under 240. I wanna get down to 170, 175. What can I do to help lose weight? I'm trying to eat better and consume fewer calories but I'm struggling to drop lower. I've been going between 232 and 241 for like 6 months. I can't do a lot of workouts because of my knees (walking,running, etc. Are painful after about 30 minutes, at work I just work through the pain.) I miss weight lifting but can't do much lower body without hurting myself. So does anyone have any ideas of what else I could do to help this process?
