How to not be insecure?

Sorry for the bad english. I'm 17M and my highest weight was 202lbs(92kg). I was almost in the obese category in bmi when I started my weight loss journey. I am now 171lbs(78kg) after 6 months of Intermittent Fasting. Although I am still fat,I am now in a healthy bmi which is great I guess.

My main motive to lose weight was to get rid of body shaming tbh and it still is,which is probably weird but I'm just tired of the comments and taunts.

I thought losing weight would make me confident but it probably became worse as I'm very insecure nowadays. I care about my appearance very much. I am also very shy so it always becomes awkward for me even when someone compliments my appearance and acknowledges that I have lost weight. I'm not really used to getting complimented so it feels like they're just making fun of me.

I also never asked out a girl in my life because I used to think why would they date me because I'm fat and would feel weird whenever I saw a fat dude from my class with a girlfriend. I hope things will get better after I have fully lost the weight but I want to know how other people are so confident in their body and not insecure. Tips for becoming confident?
