Getting over confused over nuts in diet

Hey guys, I’m new here, and I’m trying to eat a healthier diet, and exercise more, I really need to lose weight and I’m taking it seriously now. I’m trying to look up what different things I can snack on throughout the day that won’t make me gain weight but are also good for me. I can see that nuts are very healthy for you, but then there is other information saying that actually nuts will make you increase weight especially salted ones because of the sodium. What’s the best way to incorporate nuts in my diet?
