So after 15 years of yoyo dieting I've now come to conclusion that I may try to lose weight extra slowly, only about 0.6kg per month, which gives me about 4% calories deficit.
In the past I've always aimed to about 15% calories deficit and I've lost about 20kg over the 3 years period. But the thing is that if I would calculate average weight loss per month then it was only about 0.6kg anyway.
You now - you aim for 1.5-2kg per month weight loss but at the end, when you include periods of plateaus and stagnation or even small regains, you realize that it was only 0.6kg per month.
So my plan is that I will only weight myself daily and check if I'm on track. 4% calories reduction is so small that I even don't have to stick to some diet - I can continue to have e.g. icecream few times per month, drink milk, eat normal bread, etc.
Have you tried something like this? Have you experienced a yoyo as well with this approach?
