I share an apartment with my best friend. I love her, she is really the best. And just like me she is a bit overweight as well. We kind of have a running joke that we're fat together.
I've been counting my calories for a while now, and it's slow but I'm losing some weight. My best friend had a doctor appointment a few days ago, where he told her that her BMI is too high. She has elevated blood pressure too. She feels fine, the blood pressure wasn't that bad but I feel a bit worried about her. Afterall, she is a friend. Of course I'd want her to be healthy and happy, but I know that she is really self concious about her weight. Just like I am. I've thought about telling her that I'm trying to lose weight, and invite her to do it with me but that feels mean even though I'm just trying to help her. I haven't told her that I'm trying to lose weight because I don't want her to feel even more self concious about hers.
This is more of a vent than anything, but I feel so fake telling her that "It's nothing wrong with you" and similar stuff like it, when I myself am trying to lose weight. And I'm worried about my best friend, but I don't want to hurt her feelings. Ahh, any advice? Thanks in advance for reading!
