My friend is currently consuming 1000 calories a day as a 180 cm man that weighs 75 kg. That’s is definitely far too little and horrible for his health. To make it worse he wants to build muscle and get lean so he only take 5 scoops of protein powder with water. Yeah that’s right he no longer eats food. He has the odd fruit but that’s only once every other day. He has been on this diet for 3 weeks and I have notice he has become tired all the time and even noticed his nails and eyes turn slightly yellowish. When I told him he can’t do that he said I was wrong and didn’t understand how to lose weight. How should I help him?
