as the title says...
1) I'm 100% in a calorie deficit today. I am using MFP and have been given 2250 calories a day and im shooting for 2000 or under 2000. right now it says I have 1100 calories left. I ate a small breakfast, a small lunch and had a decent size dinner (I am eating healthy and not junk). my question is - if I had a 4 oz burger with a lo carb wheat wrap right now (or any night for that matter) would that affect me losing weight or cause me to gain weight in the long run? I'm going to bed in about 2 hours so I'm trying to shy away from it but im just curious.
2) someone give me some reassurance here - please. as mentioned above I've been eating under 2000 calories a day since last Monday (the 18th). I am eating healthy and weighing my portions. I've cut out essentially all sugar besides a few here in there in my foods I eat. I was 224 on the 18th and weighed myself on the 26th (7 or 8 days in) and I was 219. weighed myself today and I'm 222. I do nothing but eat decent, I drink at least 2500 or 3000 ml of water a day, I'm walking 10000 steps a day at work, I'm doing push-ups and crunches at home after work and I'm just beginning to get semi frustrated. I understand weight fluctuates and I shouldn't be weighing myself every other day but -- idk. it's just not motivating.
going off of what I said above - I used to eat once a day..and that'd be when I got home from work at 930 at night and I'd eat 3000+ calories of mcdonalds or chili's or pizza or whatever shit it was and then toss in a soda or two and a candy bar or cookies. I ate like this for a good 2 years. I've cut that shit out and am eating like I said above.
-2 eggs and a piece or 2 of daves killer bread for breakfast with a yogurt triple zero oikios. -lunch is a GHOST Swedish fish energy with a quest protein bar and an apple -dinner is normally 3.5 or 4 cups of Iceberg Lettuce, one oz of RF feta cheese crumbles and 4 oz of grilled boneless skinless chicken with 2 tbsp of lite balsamic vinegrette (or like today it was the salad without the chicken) and two 4 oz burgers (90/10) with 2 low carb wheat wraps. -desert or snack before bed is usually a triple zero yogurt with a half a cup or full cup of Wymans triple berry frozen fruit or one Atkins caramel chocolate endulge bar.
so....am I eating like shit? I don't think i am. I think I'll lose weight just based on turning my entire eating habits 180 degrees and the amount of calories cut almost in half... but when am I going to see an actual cut in weight that I'm happy with (like 215 or 210)? is it going to be 30 days or more before I see a drop? it's just not motivating to be staying strict on this and literally see 219 and then 222. I must admit I haven't seen anything more than 222 in almost 7 days so I should be happy with that but it just seems to me like I should be seeing it a LITTLE more quickly.
any advice on my eating, if it's good or bad, motivating advice or when I'll see a weight drop would be appreciated. thank you to anyone who reads through this.
EDIT I am 32, 5'10" male. weighed 224 on the 18th of July and have been at the "diet" thing since then. staying under 2000 calories is my goal.
