I am very vertically challenged (5'4M) and I've been overweight my whole life so I spent majority of my adult life in pants that are 42", ie: way too big for me. A couple of weeks ago, some friends of mine mentioned that my pants are really too big around the mid section and I told them that I kinda don't wanna buy new clothes yet as I am not fully done with my cut (I'm still looking to lose another 10kg/22 lbs) and the clothes that I bought 1 month ago is already too big for me.
However, earlier today, I went shopping for fun and I decided to get some pants and to my surprise, I can easily fit into a 34" pants! I also tried on some shirts and surprisingly, for the first time ever, I was able to fit into a size M when I've been wearing XL / XXL my whole adult life. I went ahead and got it since it felt like I needed some stretchy office pants for work l, along with some nice fitting shirts that are not too big.
I still find it slightly annoying that I have to wear a size up since I turned from fat (40% BF) to muscular and chubby (25% BF) but I'm so proud of my progress so far! I've lost 20kg so far since I started in November and I'm working towards getting abs / may be a normal BMI.
