It’s the refusing to reward myself with a whole bag of chips after a day of hard work.
It’s the convincing my brain that a snack can be an apple or some grapes, not just pop tarts or ice cream.
It’s the being able to leave food on the plate after I’m full, not eating it just because it’s there.
It’s the giving myself the permission to go through the motions when the scale doesn’t move, but not letting it stop me from trying again tomorrow.
It’s the giving myself all the love and care I could only ever give other people.
Weightloss trully does begin with a mental switch first and foremost. Most of us have decades of food addiction, disordered eating, mental health or physical health issues to work on. Give yourself time and cut yourself some slack, but remember that only doing the mental work is as important as working out and eating healthy.
