See if you can identify where I started taking CICO seriously.

I’ve been giving excuses for my weight for years, sometimes scraping the margin of obesity. There was always a reason I couldn’t lose any. Well that stopped in February this year when my blood pressure was creeping up even more with medication already in place and I just looked bad during work calls on the webcam.
I started using the LoseIt app on my phone and immediately cut 550 calories from my diet every day. I’ve eaten whatever I want so long as it doesn’t push me over my calories for the day. If I fancy a pizza for dinner, I just cut out most of my lunch to compensate.
5 months later and I’ve hit my goal of <88kg this morning. That’s a BMI of 24.9 making me a normal weight for the first time in possibly 2 decades since university. My blood pressure has also gone well into the optimal zone of <120 over <80, so it was the extra weight causing the problem. I originally thought I’d stop there but I’m going to carry on to a new goal of 80kg so I don’t slip back into overweight so easily.
When I do get there, I’m not sure how I’m going to start maintenance. I don’t think I can face eating 550 more calories per day with my new mind set.
