Self Independence

Just wanted to share that I finally feel like I'm getting somewhere with my health. I haven't lost as much as I wanted to at this point, but my NSV has been higher than I thought it would be.

I've been taking walks with my partner for the last month or two. I started out getting exhausted easily and really feeling the stretch early on. Lately we've been walking farther than we had been. This last week, I noticed that my walking pace increased a lot. I used to just mosey on, thinking that the steps alone are better than not stepping at all. I was right about that and my cardio tolerance has increased. I hadn't even noticed I was walking faster until I went grocery shopping the other day and got done much faster than I normal do.

Today, my partner wasn't feeling the best, so I decided to go on the walk by myself. I've never gone without my partner before, but I'm happy I did. It was more lonely since I didn't have anyone to talk to, but I decided to push myself as fast as I could go. I'm happy to report that the same route we always walk took me 15 minutes less than normal. I actually went about 3 minutes faster on the uphill side than the downhill side, so that was very surprising.

I feel like I can do this more often by myself if my partner isn't going to join. I'll just give myself another speed test and check my progress.
