Weight lost

I currently weight 232 and I'm a 5'8 (18m)

During middle school to Highschool I didn't really pay attention to my weight even though I could see I was gaining weight.After finishing Highschool I decided to focus more on my health and to focus on losing weight so i started trying to eat better, eat less junk food, and count my calories. I kept trying to lose weight and exercise but I would keep losing focus and get lazy (i was around 260 at this time) until the start of this year when I decided i needed to make a change.

I started the year weighing in at 250 and have been trying to lose weight while taking some breaks in the middle because of losing focus and being lazy.

Recently though I have decided to fully commit to losing weight and change my bad habits so I've been more cautious about what I eat, how much of something I eat and going to the gym 3-4 times a week which helped me drop down to 232. Ive mainly been focusing on cardio because I feel like its helping me lose weight but I do want to start strength training to build more muscle. Im wondering if I should do more strength training now or wait till later on when I drop more pounds because starting to really build muscle.
