I am a soon-to-be freshman, and I need help.

I’m a 5’3” almost 14 year-old teenager in 8th Grade who weighs 170lbs. I want to know some helpful and potentially life-changing tips and advice to lose weight before I start my freshman year (My current school year ends in a little over 2 months.).

Since late elementary, I’ve noticed that I’ve slowly stared to gain weight over time and I never really took it seriously until recently. I don’t see myself as completely obese, but I 100% want to change my habits and the way that I look now before it gets worse later in life. I’ve been wanting to lose weight for a while now, mostly because of the shit-ton of bullying I lived through during my late elementary and all of my middle school years. Along with other self-esteem issues, my weight and the way I look has taken a big toll on my mental health.

I know the basics: Drink water, eat healthy, and exercise. I’ve just had a hard time keeping up with what I have to do and I haven’t been able to keep a healthy streak going. For the past 2-3 Weeks, I’ve been going to my local gym with my parent to try to slowly lose weight. I know its still early but I have not seen any physical changes, and my eating habits haven’t been getting any better.

I need help.
