Hi guys I'm looking for advice on how to push forwards. I started my journey of needing to lose 140lb+ to be in the healthy range. In 2 weeks I lost 7lbs by eating healthier (and eating between 1200-1400 cals a day) and so week 3 in started with exercise to help boost me forwards. I've been jogging and hiit. I hate hiit but love it at the same time. I have fibromyalgia as well as an extra 10 stone on my frame so I have been working hard without over doing it and setting my health backwards. I have realised there is a difference between boundaries and limitations. I know my limitations so will not exceed them because they could cause me harm, but I'm pushing my boundaries to reach higher levels of fitness and do things I've not done in over a decade. I'm happy about this but I feel my weightloss is at a plateau. I've lost 9-10lb in total (it fluctuates between these). I can't afford (both time and financially) the gym or swimming. I do everything at home. I measure my food and use my fitness pal app. I've cut out take aways and have switch sandwiches for salads etc. I drink plenty of water I've done all sorts of diets in the past (meal replacement shakes, slimming clubs, special diet plans) and they are successful to a certain point but then I gain it all plus extra. I've decided that a lifestyle change is more realistic. I've noticed my cravings for the bad stuff is lessening, I am allowing myself somethings in moderation, so if I am craving chocolate, I will have a couple of blocks of dark chocolate instead of a family sized milk chocolate bar. That way I'm not denying myself something like I have in the past as this would normally lead to me binge eating it in the very near future and then feel guilty, then think whats the point of continuing and the order a greasy take away and go back to my old ways. Can I ask those that have done this journey, or who are on this journey, what worked for them?
