The BIG 5-0

On September 1st 2021, I committed to consistency and as of today I'm 50lbs down and halfway to my goal. I don't have a magic recipe I just figured out what works for me and hold myself accountable for working towards getting to my goal everyday.

I learned that working on my mental health is just as important as my physical health so every morning I do a 10 minute meditation, write in my gratitude journal, and set my daily goals. I also use noom so it's helped me unpack alot of my old eating habits. Then I will do my daily mobility routine.

Diet wise I am currently intermittent fasting and practice CICO. I've also reduced my meat intake so I challenge myself to eat more fish,eggs, plant based products, and vegetables to fuel me.

I practice movement 60 minutes every single day. I don't like calling it a workout because I believe that at the end of the day it's all just moving your body. Sometimes it's high intensity and other times it's walking and listening to a podcast for an hour.

I'm 3lbs away from being under 300lbs (last time I was this light was 2015) and I can't wait to see where these next 6 months take me. All I know it's that I'm genuinely happier and proud of myself for committing to me.

I just want to encourage everyone to keep going because you're changing and it's working.
