Am I eating enough calories?

Hello reddit,

I´m 24, male, 186cm and my current weight is 117,2kg. I started tracking calories Tuesday last week. My TDEE is around 2,600 calories. I´m trying to eat 1,710 calories every day. I walk an average of 6000 steps every day. My question is: am I eating too few calories? And if I am, will this affect my weight loss in a negative way? I have come across some information that suggest that if you have an excessive calorie deficit, you might hinder your weight loss. So, I just want to know what´s the best way to go around this.

Just to clarify, I don´t feel starved at my current calorie goal. Sure, I feel some hunger, but I´ve only been doing this for a week so I guess a still have to get used to it, and usually if I´m feeling hungry it´s because one of my meals is coming up, so I feel like that´s normal.

Thank you.

EDIT: Didn´t specify if my weight was in kg or in lb. Fixed now.
