Please note that there's nothing medically wrong with me, I've been to the doctor. I just seem to have a weaker immune system for some reason.
I currently have Omicron covid, I had Alpha covid in November last year and it affected me really badly. Much more so than others my age.
It's the same with this Omicron. I am 25 year old male and a lot of my friends have it too, for them it is just a sore throat and sniffing. For me it's headaches, coughing, very tired, throat kills me, dizzy etc. I'll be fine, but I don't understand it.
Before I lost weight I NEVER got sick! I was 247lbs at 5 foot 11. I lost the weight two years ago. I was 160 when I got Alpha covid and since then I have not been the same, my sense of smell is still damaged and I get winded more easily.
Now I weigh 144 normally which is a healthy weight (But I'm currently 138 due to the illness)
I am fitter than I was when I was fat, but I am physically much weaker. I can't lift anywhere near as much weight as I used to but I can run for miles and can climb well, my endurance is okay despite the long covid.
Here is an example of my normal diet:
(I usually end up around 1900 calories but sometimes a bit less.)
breakfast: black coffee, muesli with coconut yoghurt
Lunch: chickpea and avocado salad/sandwich with brown or rye bread
Dinner: curry with vegan chicken replacement (pea protein) brown rice
Snacks: nuts, fruit, dried soy beans
As you can see it is super healthy vegan diet! And don't say these issues are because I'm vegan, I have plenty vegan friends who got over covid very quickly and never got sick..
How was I healthier when I ate crap all the time?
Any suggestions please let me know!
