TLDR: Do you have any articles/papers that show a correlation between a fucked up sleeping schedule and cortisol levels/gaining weight because of that?
During this year i lost some weight during my journey, had a ton of fun still a "long" way, not really just 10 kgs, to my final goal. For now i've been just fasting and eating healthy, and working out when I can, and I got pretty good results.
But during the last month, I noticed that I had some fucked up sleeping schedule, and I gain back some weight, and this got me thinking that it was the same reason (probably) that I gain weight in the first place during the first quarantine (2020), I searched up online but didn't got any answer, I know that sleep deprivation makes you gain weight, but it's not the case: i sleep 8 hours, just not in the "usual" way, some result suggested that it's correlated to cortisol levels and the sleeping cycle.
The fact is that during my life i noticed this thing multiple times, and I thought "nah, I'm not working out properly, that's why", even thought during my life I worked out rarely, and I need to eat really little to function properly, but seems like the sleep schedule affects for my cortisol levels etc...
I think that's the case, but I need to find a proper proof of that.
Do you have any articles/papers about it?
