Have been stalling a bit lately and I put it down to being on steroids for a few days and craving processed carbs, asthma flare up causing sub-par workouts, bmr getting lower and lower by the lb, not sleeping as much and my cycle coming a bit earlier than normal. Well when I started losing weight, Friday night was always my night to indulge in something I wouldn't normally, still under maintenance, but a big dinner nonetheless. I'd still be in a deficit, but a much lower one, maybe a couple 100. I realised I'd stopped doing that the last month or so after I passed the halfway mark to my goal as it became harder and harder to fill the deficit with exercise - I'm only 5ft2 and pretty much have to do it this way to avoid reducing calorie intake dangerously.
Last night, I was just so hungry and did 2 homemade burritos. They came in at 970 cals. Plus the 300 I'd had for lunch. Plus.... I was still 'hungry' and finished off the lunch I hadn't finished earlier, and a pack of rolos. A total of 1939 cals out of a TDEE of 2249. I normally have about 1200. Well, I slept for a whole 9 hours, didn't get up early to go for my 5 mile walk as it was raining hard-core and happy to say I'm 3lbs lighter. My body finally dumped a load of water weight it was clinging on to. And as an even better bonus, the steroid fuelled appetite that's been raging for the last 2 weeks has finally gone and I'm back to having a normal appetite.
Gotta love a whoosh 🙃
