Bad diet and bad moods?

I have been on and off this sub for some time now and I this week I have committed to a personal trainer who is going to be helping me with a workout routine and updates to my dietary needs based on my progress. All that being said I have been struggling with my diet a lot in the past few months. I have also been struggling with the winter blues as well.

I started supplementing vitamins again, specifically vitamin D. I took it last year because I had a rough bout of the winter blues and I'm certain there were improvements in my mood. Summer came around and I stopped (mostly because I ran out). A few days after starting the vitamin I feel great and I can't help but think that my poor nutrition of fast food and processed foods is the number on culprit to many of the issues I deal with.

I guess this is motivation to start taking my diet more serious. I'm also going to be looking into B vitamins more because I have had major issues with energy for quite some time now as well.

Anyone else notice a huge change in mood/energy after taking on better habits or additional supplements?
