Pain and hot sauce.
Woke up this morning in a lot of pain. My legs are killing me from all the walking the last couple days. That's what I get for being sedentary so many years I guess haha. I'm hoping a bit of stretching after each walk fixes that but I'll do some googling on good walking practices. I should probably look into getting a decent pair of shoes too....
Despite how I felt early this morning, I managed to go for another morning walk - 40 minutes this time and a bit quicker pace I think too (could be in my head lol). I downloaded a walking app (Walking Odometer Pro) to track the distance so the loseit app could be a bit more accurate. 3ish Miles/Hr and 2.2 miles walked. I'm pushing a stroller so I'm not sure I'm burning quite as many calories as the app says I am since I'm not swinging my arms... Regardless, it feels good being outside and active. Anyone have recommendations on an app that links with the loseit app that tracks my distance walked and speed? Not sure I care much about step count ATM, the numbers don't mean much to me yet and I'm doing what I can to stay motivated haha.
I've been finding waiting until 10ish to have my first meal (chicken salad) then having a later lunch has been keeping me full until evening without needing too many snacks. Turns out hot sauce on salad is amazing! Going to look into getting protein shakes too. u/TinyAptCrafter suggested egg whites the other day and the scrambled eggs I made with 1 egg and egg whites last night was excellent (oh yeah... hot sauce again 😁). Definitely going to try more things with them going forward.
