Can you walk at home around the house and/or in place and get the same physical benefits of walking outside (without the sunlight/fresh air benefits obviously)?

As the title says.. Can you walk at home around the house and/or in place and get the same physical benefits of walking outside (without the sunlight/fresh air benefits obviously)?

It's starting to get cold and I don't live in a very good neighborhood anyway. Wondering if walking at home sporadically around my house, in place, and sometimes on my treadmill has the same physical benefits (aside from sunlight/fresh air obviously)? I don't mind the treadmill at all it's just hard for me to do for a while because I get so bored just watching Netflix while I walk :(

I'd love to find a routine or way to get all my steps in or potentially even miles in at home on those chilly days, especially since my neighborhood is really not that great.

Any tips for walking a lot at home? Thanks in advance!
