Will I ever stop fantasizing about junk food??

I usually eat foods that are both healthy and enjoyable for me, but I still end up craving junk food.

But every time I give into the cravings, it's never satisfying. Ever. It tastes good, but not anywhere near what I imagine in my head.

If I have just one donut, it will be gone in about 4 bites and I'll feel disappointed. If I have 2 donuts, the second one won't taste as good. And so on. Somehow the craving continues even as the taste deminishes, so you end up chasing something you're not going to get. This is how I end up binging.

But even if I moderate it and just have the one donut, I still get more disappointment then I do enjoyment. I even get anxiety while eating it, knowing that it will soon be gone.

So it's like the only option is to never have junk food, ever. But that would take an enormous amount of willpower while dealing with cravings for it. Is there a trick to permanently stop "romanticizing" food?
