Is my weightloss causing my partner to starve himself?

3 months ago, I started CICO to lose weight. I gave up alcohol completely and started exercising on an indoor rower and walking places I'd normally have driven to. So far, I've lost 2 stone (28lbs / 12.5kg). I've noticed my partner say a few odd things lately, like when I was doing my nails, him saying 'you getting tarted up just to go to the shop?' Or looking at me blankly when I try on an outfit I couldn't wear before, despite me asking for his opinion on how I look, or tried on old jeans that are far too big for me now! Nothing.

We went to the pub at the weekend, and yes, I was getting a bit more attention than I used to. One of our neighbours openly said he could see I'd lost weight, a LOT of weight and went on to ask me questions about how I did it etc. I noticed him touching my arm, or my leg a lot. Normally he's not very tactile in public.

We hadn't had dinner, so when we got back I did myself something quick and easy, and my partner just insisted he wasn't hungry (although he was complaining about how hungry he was before we went out!) And for the last 2 days, he's barely touched any food, just saying he's not very hungry. This isn't like him, he usually has a healthy appetite! I can understand a bit of insecurity as this was the first time I've been out with him since I lost weight, but barely eating anything just seems off, and I'm a bit worried about him making himself ill.

Has anyone else seen this kind of thing happen with their SO during weightloss?
