Need to vent: I just weighed myself after a cheat meal and gained 2 lbs

I need to vent. I was doing great for January having lost 6 lbs total for the month, putting me only 5.5 pounds away from the lowest I’ve ever been in my adult life. I was so close. Today was my dads birthday so I knew we were going out to eat for his birthday dinner. I woke up this morning, made sure I did Zumba as I knew I was going to eat more calories then normal today. Leading up to the dinner all I ate today was a banana, some greek yogurt and had been drinking a bunch of water all day. At dinner I had a dinner roll with butter, baked scallops, a side salad and French fries as sides. I didn’t order a soda and had water. I actually thought I did pretty good considering there were much worse things I could order. Then I got home and weighed myself and had gained 2 lbs from that one meal. I’m super bummed as that cuts my monthly loss by 33%.
