Hi!!—
Im new to this subreddit but I am incredibly excited to document my fitness journey with you guys. I’ve always wanted to do something like this for the longest time.. and i think nows a better time than ever to do it in the middle of a pandemic. so some background; Im 5’ 8”, 180 lbs and a 22M. I’m a pretty stocky dude, got the American-Italian man build for sure lol. I was pretty in shape in high school, and I used to play rugby/skateboard all the time. Since then, I sort of let college get the best of me and entirely just not focus on living a balanced lifestyle in terms of food/working out. In the past year I experienced a pretty intense break up and have since then decided to transform myself and regain confidence in who I am again.
In the past six months, i have gradually been building back my endurance in terms of working out: starting with random weight workouts in my school’s gym with some running, then eventually distance running, and now I have been trying the ancient INSANITY workout routines for the past month. Although unfortunately, I have seen some pretty minimal results. I often feel as if I truly don’t know if my workouts are working at all, even if I am dead at all. I workout 5 times a week on average.
In terms of food, I have followed a similar path of building a healthier diet all around in the past six months, but I definitely am not stopping myself entirely from enjoying the weekly bad meal or so. I generally strive to eat pretty clean but I think I am overeating, or even just missing meals, or eating too many carbs? I really am not sure on how to truly tell as well.
My ideal weight is 160, while of course maintaining a sustainable lifestyle in the midst. I thought about doing keto, but I don’t like the idea of having to maintain that plan in order to actually keep that weight off.
If anyone would be as kind as to recommend a meal plan/workout plans/ advice on literally ANYTHING, I’d really greatly appreciate it All!!!!! Thanks guys!!
