For most of my life I've been slightly overweight but not severely. But about two years ago, something happened and I started being hungry all the time. I mean about as hungry as I'd ever been before that, now 24/7. I could easily eat 4000 calories and I don't stop being hungry until I'm puking. Since then, I've gained a lot of weight and I'm now at 220 (for reference, I'm 22 m 6'). I actually got down to about 170 last year, but I was just so hungry and gained it all back very fast.
Has anyone ever dealt with this, or have advice? I've seen a bunch of doctors, specialists, etc. and no one will take it seriously or has any idea what's going on. It hurts, all the time. And I'm so tired of being fat, and I want to lose weight desperately, but I'm just not strong enough to deal with feeling that hungry all the time. Even eating at maintenance calories has left me sobbing and at my wit's end. I feel like I'm the only person this has happened to, and it seems hopeless for me. I even started smoking to tame the hunger pangs, which only worked for ~two months (and now it doesn't help at all and I'm stuck with a nicotine addiction, although I'm vaping now). I would appreciate if anyone could just relate or had some tips to fix this.
