I want to lose weight but I'm very confused about how much I should lose

I'm fat, and have been for a very long time. Since I was about 7 or 8 I was the fat kid. I was fat throughout my adolescence and I am 22 now. I really don't know how much a skinny version of myself would weigh. It's not like my weight loss was within the last 3-5 years and I can say "well I was X pounds I need to get back to that." It sucks that I have no reference point and that I have to rely on online calculators. I thought I'd ask here too. I've also asked my doctor and he just said to try to lose weight until I reach a point that I'm happy. Well, that might fly for some people but I need a more specific goal otherwise I won't be successful. It doesn't have to be a specific number just a range will be fine too.

about me

age: 22

sex: male

height: 5 feet 4 inches

The results I got from these ideal weight calculators recommend I weigh around 130 pounds but consider me normal weight in anything ranging from 110 pounds at the lowest to 145 pounds at the highest. It seems to depend on the formula used (Robinson, Miller, Devine, Hamwi, etc) but all of these seem to place me in the 130's.

I'm not tall and I have a small frame, skeletally speaking. And there is not much in terms of muscle on my body, as I've never been interested in lifting weights or anything.

Does that sound about right? Should my target weight fall around 130 pounds, and my long term weight loss goal be to lose 70 pounds? I'm ready to work for it but I really want to have a clear or at least semi-clear goal if I hope to achieve anything.
