I just needed to share with someone so here I am. I've always been overweight as long as I can remember. I'm male, 27, 6ft, always around 220lbs. Over the holidays I had a rough time and gained more weight, in Feb on my birthday I realized I only had one pair of pants left that I fit into. I was up to 243lbs. I was distraught and have never thought I had the will or energy to really get down to a comfortable weight. I found this sub and started lurking and taking bits of calorie counting advice. Fast forward to today, I've lost 23 lbs and hit my first goal of being to my "normal" overweight. The difference, I actually feel like this is something I can do. Each time I make a good decision about my health I feel wonderful and visualize the difference I'm making. I have total confidence that I can keep on track with this very comfortable lifestyle and get myself down to a healthy weight. My next goal is 199, I can't remember the last time I was under 200lbs. From there I hope to get even more fit! Thanks to everyone who helped without knowing from this lurker!
